Darren Priddle 

Senior Dog Trainer and Training Manager

Originally from Taunton in Somerset and coming from a military background, Darren’s ambition had been to follow his Dad into the Marines and much of his early years were dominated by this ambition, culminating in him passing all of the tests which would allow him to gain entry. The stumbling block came when he pointed out that years before he had suffered from an allergy and this was to dash his hopes of being a Marine.

His attention then turned to his other love, "dogs" and having had several experiences of working with dogs, lastly within the security industry, he approached A1K9 and was employed by us in Feb 2010.

Since his arrival, Darren has become an integral part of the team and he has recently taken over the day to day management of the kennels, working alongside Charles, organising the training and other staff.

Darren has a great affinity with his dogs, already training a large number to very high standards. Darren is very passionate about his work and loves the time spent working and training with his dogs, especially when schooling them in the personal protection work.

When not working Darren enjoys reading, photography and as if not kept fit enough working here, fitness training.
