A1K9 is a long established UK dog training company, specialising in the supply of trained Personal Protection Dogs but also offering dog obedience training solutions for customers own dogs.

Based just outside Swansea in the heart of the Welsh Countryside, A1 K9 was launched in 1995 by Charles Wall MBIPDT  and Gaynor Probert MBIPDT, the two of them having had many years experience in owning, training and handling a wide variety of dogs.

Some other members of our team  of dog trainers have come from ex-services backgrounds and the remainder been trained in house.

We have much combined expertise and experience and it is, therefore, not so surprising that we are widely regarded as being the premier canine training company within the U.K. and doubtlessly the UK’s pre eminent supplier of Personal Protection dogs.

With a solid reputation for the unsurpassed quality of our executive and family protection dogs and our high level of customer service and comittment we have become known globally. Much time is spent recognising and understanding our clients needs and over the years we have established a client base that extends across several continents. Customers travel to us from all parts of the UK, Europe and the Middle East and we are supplying a growing number of our highly trained Personal Protection dogs to customers as far afield as Russia and the USA.

Our business focuses on Personal Protection dogs, however, we are able to assist on many aspects of canine training

Whilst our main business activity is  specialising in the supply and training of Personal Protection dogs, we offer a variety of training courses from basic to advanced obedience, from guard work to search work and will tailor our courses, where possible, to suit our customers exact requirements.

 

 

Even small dogs like this yorkie can benefit from professional obedience training by A1 K9 A magnificent pair of Cane Corsos one trained for Handler Protection and the other for obedience by A1 K9. A1 K9 obedience train many different breeds both pedigree and cross breeds like this lovely Collie cross.

 

We train most breeds of dog for obedience, having trained dogs of all shapes and sizes and can sometimes supply dogs trained

in obedience, for families looking purely for a pre-trained pet.
