Information about Shakira

Shakira is a beautifully bred and well proportioned female that we imported from the Czech Republic to join our training programme to prepare her to become an A1K9 family protection dog.
Although Shakira comes from show lines, she took to her training like a duck to water, excelling in all aspects and proving herself to be a most capable protection dog. On a normal day to day basis, Shakira is a sweet natured, very well adjusted, outgoing dog; who like any other pet enjoys spending time with a family and joining in with their pursuits.
We have found her to be absolutely great around children and very happy to mix with other dogs of all breeds, making her an ideal candidate for a family with children or other dogs. Shakiras obedience is to a very good standard and she is extremely attentive and responsive, making her both easy to handle and to live with.
On the protection front, one might be shocked when seeing Shakira in action, as a show of controlled aggression from her would be enough to send off all but the most hardened criminals. If that show of aggression for whatever reason failed to deliver the message, Shakira has the necessary tools and training to ruin a would be attackers day.
All in all, Shakira is a great all-rounder and a wonderful ambassador for the German Shepherd breed, for A1K9 and the protection dogs that we train. She has the temperament and nature to fit unobtrusively into busy family household and yet has the presence and ability to provide a valuable extra layer of security for that family.
